For us, serving starts at home and moves into our community and around the world.

GENEROUS LIVES

We live Generous Lives by understanding that everything we have been given or have achieved is a gift from God. So we are to live in such a way that we seek to be as generous to others as God has been to us by giving back our time, talent, and treasure to those who need it. Jesus isn’t just Lord of our heart but of our stuff as well.

SHARABLE FAITH

Sharable Faith is when you have Christ working in your life to the degree that you begin to share it with others. We are meant to experience Christ and share what Christ means to us with others. Sharable Faith occurs when what you have with Christ is so rich and meaningful, that your life and faith becomes attractive to others and they want what you have.

THOUGHTS ON SERVING OUR WORLD

Serve at BP Church | Volunteer for a ministry in our church where you can use your spiritual gifts, interests, and natural abilities. Also, we host events for the community so our attenders/members can engage with those far from Christ. Consider serving there.

Community Compassion | Look for opportunities to care for the needs of your community. There are many community programs that help share the love of Jesus through meeting the needs of others. Look for ways to take your faith outside the walls of your church.

Count Conversations | Often we can put too much pressure on ourselves to “convert” someone or to have all the right answers. It is the Holy Spirit who converts, not us. Instead of counting the number of people you have led to Christ, start counting the number of conversations you have with others about Jesus. You may be shocked to find how easy it is to talk naturally about Jesus when you don’t pressure yourself to convert them.
