Pray through the church facilities on days/times called by the Lead Pastor. (e.g. New Years Day Corporate prayer)

Provide continuous intercessory prayer (on-site) during all weekend worship services in the prayer room or Sanctuary.

The Prayer Shield Gatekeepers and Watchmen teams is patterned after the Levites who served as gatekeepers in the tabernacle of God.

• The role of gatekeeper in the tabernacle was considered a trusted office.

All those chosen as gatekeepers were two hundred and twelve. They were recorded by their genealogy, in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their trusted office. So they and their children were in charge of the gates of the house of the Lord, the house of the tabernacle, by assignment. The gatekeepers were assigned in the four directions, the east, west, north and south.

For in this trusted office were four chief gatekeepers; they were Levites. And they had charge over the chambers and the treasuries of the house of God.  And they lodged all around the house of God because they had the responsibility, and they were in charge of opening it every morning. (I Chronicles 9:22-27)

• The tabernacle gatekeepers were an organized team of watchmen.

Among these were the divisions of the gatekeepers, among the chief men, having duties just like their brethren, to serve in the house of the Lord.  And they cast lots for each gate, the small as well as the great, according to their father’s house. To Shuppim and Hosah, the lot came out for the West Gate on the ascending highway – watchman opposite watchman.  (I Chronicles 26: 12-13,16)

We need people involved in Pre-Service prayer ushering in the presence of God in each service as we worship. We also need people to join corporate prayer weekly as we pray towards our weekend ministry
